Apple discontinues 20 inch Cinema Display

Apple Macbook update- more models need updating:
17 Feb 2009: Apple has released a patch for the Apple Macbook Plycarbonate (early 2009) model laptop. The update is reportedly designed to fix an issue that causes the laptop to start up slowly. Bittorrent Sharing Site owners, Piratebay in Court:
16 Feb 2009: The creators of one of the world's most high-profile, file-sharing websites are claiming their site is "100% legal" as their landmark trial gets underway. The Pirate Bay's creators are being taken to court by the world's media giants, including Sony and Warner Bros, which accuse them of facilitating the spread of piracy by offering a massive index of pirated content for download.
Apple Blocks Jailbreaking on iPhone and iPod:
15 Feb 2009: Apple's iPhone, now the best-selling cellular phone in the U.S., has been designed with restrictions that prevent owners from running applications obtained from sources other than Apple's own iTunes App Store. "Jailbreaking" is the term used for removing these restrictions, thereby liberating your phone from Apple's software "jail."
Apple Updates Mac OS X 10.5.x

Apple to Add Instant Video Streaming to iPod
12 Feb 2009: Apple is preparing an instant streaming option for video at the iTunes Store, a report claims. Said to be named iTunes Replay, the service would be similar in concept to Netflix's "Watch Instantly"

25 Jan 2009: Anti-virus maker Intego has issued a warning about a Mac trojan that is both in the wild and actually malicious, unlike anything seen before. The distribution system is BitTorrent -- specifically a pirated version of the iWork 09 suite just released by Apple. What does this mysterious trojan do? It drops an application named iWorkServices into the system startup folder (/System/Library/StartupItems)

Protect yourself from Cookies:
04 Feb 2009: If you didn't already know it, Apple Macs running OS X and above can remove cookies without having any additional software installed. If you're using Firefox, you're able to simply remove all cookies from the browser by clicking on Tools--> Clear Private Data and in the popup menu, check the box next to cookies and click ok.
The US Government Considers Apple Mac IT Solutions:
09 Feb 2009: Apple Inc. has been gaining ground on the much beligned PC and has seen heightened awareness of it's other products within the Corporate and Government sectors. In a survey of corporate desktop operating system trends published in August 2008, Forrester Research found that since October 2006, use of Apple products among its clients had grown from 1.1 to 4.5 percent," Merrill Douglas reports for Government Technology. This compared to a recent BBC article which cites Apple as now holding roughly 10% of the computer retail market. It's in effect a serious leap forward from the mid 1990's, when the Mac was seen more as defacto for graphic design and music production. more.......
